Sportotobet, or Supertotobet if you will, can easily be counted among the worst of the worst. This Turkish online gambling site has been blacklisted by everyone and their mother and is infamous for running a fake license, non-payments, and wiping account balances.

General Information

Sportotobet, now known as Supertotobet, is a typical shady Turkish sports betting website and online casino. While operating under the name Sportotobet, it earned the title of a blacklisted casino for displaying a fake MGA license.

They are currently on the Malta Gaming Authority’s list of unauthorized URLs. This alone should be reason enough to avoid Sportotobet/Supertotobet at all costs. We suspect this is the main reason for them rebranding into Supertotobet. The casino is clearly rogue, but is attempting to “hide its tracks” and keep scamming unsuspecting players.

There’s also fact that it’s a Turkish website catering primarily to Turkish people. Although the site supports both English and Russian alongside Turkish, the pages containing critical information are never translated. We’re talking about their Terms and Conditions, Rules, Privacy Policy, etc. Moreover, their social media presence confirms our suspicions that they’re primarily focused on the Turkish audience.

However, all forms of gambling are strictly prohibited in Turkey and are considered a criminal activity. They’ve undoubtedly had run-ins with the law in the past and are trying to exploit every loophole in hopes of keeping their casino alive.

Today, Supertotobet is sporting the Costa Rica Online Gambling License. Whether the license is genuine this time around hardly makes any difference. Costa Rica hands their licenses away like candies. If anything, this tells us that they either couldn’t afford a proper license or (more likely) no reputable regulatory body was willing to issue one to Supertotobet.

Sportoto? Supertoto? Supertoto0171? Who Knows…

Which of the two names is more ridiculous is up for debate. However, the more prominent issue with Supertotobet is that their website is continuously changing its URL. At the time of writing this review, if you typed www.supertotobet.com into your address bar, you’d be redirected to supertotobet0171.com/#sports.

Pay attention to the number behind the name — it’s 0171. Nothing fishy about the number itself, but the context reveals Supertoto’s dodgy activity. Last year, the URL was supertotobet15.com/#sports. They’ve probably changed the URL dozens of times since our last visit.

There’s absolutely no reason why anyone would want to do that. If anything, it makes your casino more difficult to find. However, we assume the constant URL changes are an attempt to “cover their digital tracks” and avoid having their site taken down by the Turkish authorities. After all, they are considered criminals under Turkish law.

First Impression

Upon loading the Supertoto website, we couldn’t help but notice that it is not secure. The website has no SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to ensure the information passed between the web server and your browser remains private.

In other words, your information could be easily compromised. And we’re not talking just about your account information, although that is reason enough to raise concerns. When depositing money, you’re required to input your banking information. Although, this wouldn’t be an issue if the website were secure. But since that’s not the case with Supertotobet, you’re practically giving these criminals access to your credit cards.

Illegal and unsecured website? No thank you. Any sane person would, at this point, click away from the site and never come back.

Supertotobet is attempting to attract new, unsuspecting players with multiple bonuses. They offer a 10% first deposit bonus for bank transfer, a 20% bonus if you deposit Bitcoin, and several casino bonuses like 50% cashback on Poker.

However, despite our best efforts, we couldn’t discover what the wagering requirements for these bonuses are. There are no separate Bonus Terms that players could read. Instead, everything’s jumbled together under “Rules.” It would take you at least 30 minutes to comb through Supertoto’s T&Cs, and even then you’d only find one sentence stating that “system bets don’t count towards the wagering requirements.” However, the wagering requirement the players are required to meet remains a mystery.

Games and Software

Supertotobet offers a wide variety of games, spanning across ten categories.

However, the spotlight is on sports betting, specifically on soccer. Although, you could also bet on tennis, basketball, volleyball, and ice hockey. Supertotobet covered the basics, but it’s nothing to be impressed about since similar sites offer over 30 different spots to bet on.

Apart from sports betting, there are a few interesting categories available at Supertotobet. For instance, you have the option to bet on live horse and dog races, virtual games, and even the Forex (foreign exchange) market. Although financial betting has been gaining popularity in the past few years, we would certainly advise against it on Supertotobet.

As far as the casino games go, they offer Live Casino, Slots, and Bingo. From what we can tell, Supertotobet is running genuine software by reputable developers such as NetEnt, Novomatic, Amatic, EGT, and Betsoft.

No complaints here. An extensive library of high-quality games is always a big plus. However, in Supertoto’s case, it’s massively outweighed by the casino’s issues.

User Experience

Just the sheer amount of user complaints, 142 on a single watchdog portal, proves that Supertotobet is a terrible place to bet at. The bulk of the complaints state that Supertotobet blatantly refused to pay out the winnings to players.

There have also been multiple instances where players’ account balances “vanished” overnight. But what’s funny is that Supertotobet denied this apparent stealing of funds by trying to convince the players that they had played the money, but somehow couldn’t seem to remember it.

A particular user shared that, apart from having their account balance reset, they were made fun of by the customer service on Supertotobet’s live chat platform. Live chat seems to be the only way to contact the support, at least on the English version of the site.

So strap yourself in for awful user experience. They’ll take your money and then rub it in your face. We can’t think of anything more abhorrent than that.

Admittedly, since gambling in Turkey is a criminal offense, everyone should’ve assumed that a casino providing this form of entertainment to an exclusively Turkish audience wouldn’t exactly treat their players fairly.

However, that doesn’t excuse the casino’s unethical business practices and criminal activities but should serve as a lesson to everyone who got duped by this rogue pit.

Pros and Cons

PROS
The comedic value of their stupid name
CONS
Known for using a fake license; on the MGA’s list of unauthorized URLsConstant URL changesSlow payments, as well as not paying out legitimate winningsCatering to an exclusively Turkish audience, even though gambling in Turkey is prohibitedHorrible customer support, reported to have been belittling players

Our Verdict

If there ever were a movie about online casinos, Supertotobet would be the main villain. They are the incarnation of all burning problems the industry is currently facing.

From displaying a fake license to resetting account balances and refusing payouts, Supertotobet has committed just about every cardinal sin in the online gambling world. They are thieves exploiting the fact that all forms of gambling are illegal in Turkey. That’s probably the sole reason they haven’t shut down yet — desperate players don’t have many better alternatives.

That said, even if we were never able to gamble again for the rest of our lives, it still beats playing at Supertotobet. Avoid this casino at all cost.

If you’re a Turkish player, please be advised that any form of online gambling is illegal under your country’s law, even if it’s for entertainment purposes only and you’re not wagering any real money.
