SlotLuv: “We Luv to Steal Players’ Money”
SlotLuv was a sister to “Luv to Steal” and the never-pay casino gang, related to the infamous Rome Group and the Curgam Group. Also, both of them are known across the online gambling community as rogue operations and are notorious for not paying out and wiping their players’ account balances.
General Information
SlotLuv was one of many avoid-at-all-costs casinos in the Curgam Malta Ltd. Group. The casino shared the same fate as the vast majority of its sister sites and was closed in September 2018.
However, prior to SlotLuv’s shutdown, they were known for slow and non-payments. This was a running theme with nearly all online casinos under the Curgam’s ownership, so it’s no surprise that SlotLuv followed in its forefathers’ footsteps.
Similarly to other rogue entities in this group, SlotLuv held a Costa Rica license. This meant that players had no real protection against the casino’s rogue operations and were left to their own devices during the disputes with the casino.

First Impression
Not much can be said about SlotLuv online casino since it no longer exists. But even if it did, we probably wouldn’t dignify it with a thorough examination of its website. That privilege is reserved for casinos that aren’t so blatantly rogue.

SlotLuv was powered by RealTime Gaming software, similarly to most casinos in the Curgam Group. And for the longest time, RTG was one of the very few software providers catering to the U.S. audience, so SlotLuv and similar casinos targeted the U.S. market almost exclusively.
Unfortunately, the bulk of these casinos were rogue, which could’ve potentially badly damaged RTG’s reputation. However, on multiple occasions, RTG claimed they were the software provider and nothing more. That said, over the years, RTG started gravitating more towards proven, legitimate casinos that offered some form of safety net to their players.
So RealTime Gaming remains one of the leading casino game providers, not just on the U.S. market, but in the entire industry. And it’s easy to understand why. They offer a substantial number of exceptional slots and a decent choice of video poker variants for players to pick from.
On top of that, their games have consistently proven to be fair and stable. As an unspoken rule, RTG games also feature multiple progressive jackpots and exclusive features, giving the player more chances to win.

Bonuses
SlotLuv Casino used to offer a first deposit bonus of 400% up to $1,000. At first glance, this might seem quite generous, especially to players new to online gambling. However, if you scratch under the surface, you’ll quickly realize that this bonus is sticky. In other words, you’d never be able to withdraw it. The original bonus amount would’ve been automatically removed from your account once you issued a withdrawal request.
In addition, to be able to request a withdrawal in the first place, you had to fulfill the wagering requirements of 25x deposit + bonus. The bonus terms stated that you could play any games with the deposit bonus, but only slots had a 100% contribution. If you played roulette, only 10% of your wagers would’ve counted towards the requirements. Moreover, the contribution of blackjack and video poker was 25%.
User Experience
As is to be expected, mediation sites are chock-full of complaints about the SlotLuv Casino. They suggest that payouts with SlotLuv usually took over a month if the casino paid at all. Granted, casinos catering to the U.S. market have to jump through several legal hoops to be able to accept deposits and process payments, but it doesn’t justify SlotLuv’s blatantly rogue behavior. They deliberately established a painfully long withdrawal process and used to draw it out indefinitely by coming up with all kinds of stupid excuses.
What is more, the withdrawal requests would be stuck on “pending” for weeks, if not months, after the players provided all the necessary documentation. The casino’s customer support appears to have gone through the Curgam’s “How to keep players running in circles” curriculum.
At one point, they started sounding like a broken record. You’d get one of the few variants of the same answer, regardless of the nature of your particular issue. The payments were all apparently “waiting to be approved,” but no reason or explanation was ever offered.
In the instances where they wiped player accounts, SlotLuv tried coming up with all types of nonsense to justify their rogue behavior. For example, they’d call an unsuccessful login attempt multi-accounting and confiscate all your winnings.
Furthermore, the SlotLuv Casino was dealing in absurdities and inventing creative new ways to justify scamming their playerbase and stealing money. Fortunately, the bulk of the casinos belonging the Curgam Group are now closed, including SlotLuv.

Our Verdict
It didn’t take much deliberation to come to a conclusion regarding SlotLuv. The verdict is pretty straightforward: throw it in the trash where it belongs with the rest of the Curgam-owned online casinos and move on.
If you run into any online casinos with known ties to this group, avoid them at all costs. This group runs a series of organized scams, masquerading as online casinos. Their agenda is to steal as much money as possible from their players and then simply shut down the casino, only to relaunch the same scam under a different name.
Although Curgam is among the worst of the worst, there are hundreds of other rogue operations out there. So before making a deposit at an online casino, try to learn as much as you can about it and the group that runs it. It’s also a good idea to choose one from a list of recommended casinos, rather than go after the one that offers the highest bonuses and juicy free chips. And most importantly, carefully read the casino’s terms and conditions before playing there if you want to avoid nasty surprises.
