General Information
This casino has been established in 2009 and was licensed by the government of Curaçao. It seems as, from the very beginning, the owners knew what its destiny would be — for it is now blacklisted and closed. RTG was the only software provider for the casino, with both downloadable and instant-play games. At first, it seemed like a decent online casino, but it soon went to the dark side. They began by delaying their payouts for incredibly long periods and went on to even deny their players the money they had rightfully won. Naturally, this led to one logical thing — the casino shutting down and ending up on our blacklist.
First Impression
The first impression of this online casino was actually rather positive. The website looked really good, and everything was well designed. Moreover, the crisp layout also came with a very user-friendly interface.
You could pretty much instantly reach any of the features you might be interested in. The game categories were a click away and so was the “Cashier” page that would have let you send a withdrawal request.
Games and Software
The casino was using software made by RTG, which was a good thing. RealTime Gaming is one of the top companies in the world of online gambling, and they have been making games for as long as most of us can remember. Moreover, their incredible selection of video slot titles has a game for literally anyone.
Out of the incredible selection of games from RTG, the Lock Casino was offering more than 200 titles, some of which had progressive jackpots. The games were so well organized on the website that it would have been hard to notice that there were more than 200 of them. They were both downloadable and available for instant-play. Also, among the mentioned titles, 75 of them were slot games, and 22 were table games. Video poker and lotto were also included. Moreover, players could have added the games in their favorites list so that they could find them quickly the next time they logged in.
Payment Problems
In the beginning, the Lock Casino’s business seemed to get on well with the players. Casino’s games were using RTG’s software, customer service did its job appropriately, withdrawals were regularly made. It sounded like a pretty decent place for players to put their online gambling skills to the test.
However, not everything ran so smoothly. After a while, some payments started getting delayed, issues with them proved hard to resolve with the customer support, and it all started going downhill from there.
And once the customer support became deliberately unresponsive in regards to customer complaints about withdrawals, it became all but impossible to actually walk away with a profit from this casino.
Later on, they began closing people’s accounts and seizing their funds, making a lot of profit, but losing their playerbase. Furthermore, that had an enormous impact on their cash flow, so naturally, the players to whom they owed money, especially larger sums, were asked to be patient.
User Experience
Obviously, the feedback from the players was not a positive one. Well, more or less. In the beginning, of course, while everything seemed to be running smoothly, the users were pleased with what they were offered with. But eventually, when the withdrawal problems became more frequent, forums and review websites got flooded with stories of players being scammed by the Lock Casino.
Pros and Cons
PROS:
– A variety of games to choose from
– Progressive jackpots
CONS:
– Poor customer service
– Long withdrawal time, some withdrawals were not made at all
– Lost a lot of funds and had no resources to pay the players
Our Verdict
According to initial user reviews, the Lock Casino started out good. Players were satisfied with their website, games, bonuses, etc. However, things slowly started to get shady, and the casino was blacklisted. Successful businesses do not allow for mistakes like the one that they’ve made — losing a large amount of money and having their bank accounts closed. That resulted in the casino’s inability to pay their players out properly, and in the end — its closure. If the casino ever manages to reopen, proceed with caution. It had potential, but the financial crisis they fell into put the final nail in their coffin.
