For this review, we decided to go east and check out 1xBet, an online casino based in Russia. It was established in the year 2011 and immediately surprised players with its wide variety of casino games. 1xBet is its own boss; therefore, it operates its own casino. Unfortunately, pride comes before a fall, and this was just the case with 1xBet. It didn’t take the online community too long to realize that this casino is fraudulent. We performed some in-depth research and found out all the reasons why 1xBet is blacklisted for most of the reviewing websites, including ours.
First Impression
Although it didn’t take us a lot to find everything about the rogue reputation of 1xBet, we decided to remain objective concerning our first impression. In respect to that, we loved the website at first sight. It is very pleasing to the eye and offers plenty of bonuses, all of which you can find on the homepage.
The casino included hundreds of slots in its offer, as well as video poker games and sports betting. As for the live casino, you can choose from two options; the regular one and the 18+ live casino. Should you opt out for the second option, the site will welcome you with nude dealers, helping you out with all the table games. Either way, 1xBet made sure there is something to match everybody’s taste buds.
Moreover, the website supports over thirty languages, from English to Vietnamese. One can only appreciate this attempt to get closer to an average player by removing any possible language obstacles. In case this isn’t enough for you, the casino can work with over 50 currencies. You can deposit in any currency, from American and Canadian dollar to Japanese yen and British pound. It doesn’t matter where you come from; the chances are you will be covered.
Games and Software
1xBet offers thousands of games to its players, and we were impressed that some of the best game makers in the industry, such as PlayTech, NetEnt, Microgaming, and Pragmatic, provide the software to this casino. This is the thing we love the most about 1xBet. As an addition, the casino provides you with mobile version if you’re a busy person and always on the go.
As it is the case with the majority of the web-based casinos, 1xBet also dedicated most of its space to slots. Up until recently, you could even find Marvel slots on the website, something we’re sure many players used to appreciate.
However, there’s a thing that disappointed us — all the games in the casino are pirated. First of all, game piracy is illegal by all means, it is a felony. Secondly, if the casino is stealing games from the creators, what makes you think it will appreciate your money? Most importantly, a software company doesn’t update its pirated games to fit the latest regulations and innovations it had previously set. This is a loophole for the managers to mess with the games and RTP (Return To Player); it means a casino can set your game up to make you lose all of your real money. In the end, it doesn’t mean a lot that NetEnt makes your game if you steal it.
User Experience
This is the part where things get very bad. Players are enraged with the casino because it stole money from over thousands of users. The method casino operators used is quite typical; it’s a pattern many rogue casinos used over the years. Sadly enough, it works almost every time because they aim for the inexperienced online gamblers.
Throughout the years, 1xBet gained a reputation of locking players’ accounts whenever they would win a lot of money. The most common excuse would be that the casino locked the account for security reasons and verification purposes.
We found a player online who played a game in 1xBet and started to win big; as a result, the casino changed the odds from 18 to 7 in the middle of the game. Instead of earning 2700 euros, he earned 1070 — and he was okay with this, as long as he could withdraw his money. However, the casino locked his account and denied him access. As far as we know, the player filed a lawsuit, and we’re not sure if he ever got the money.
Sometimes the casino doesn’t block your account immediately if you win a lot, in some cases the operators do things more subtly. Among many players, one decided to come out and accurately describe his story to all the fellow gamblers so they wouldn’t have to suffer the same destiny. He played with the deposit bonus and won a lot of money. To withdraw, the casino explained he needs to send physical copies of his documentation to an address in Moscow, Russian Federation. Yes, quite unusual, but not something we’ve never heard of before.
This was when things started to get messy. Once he sent all the necessary documentation, the postal service informed him that the physical address doesn’t even exist. The customer support decided to blame the postal system of Russia, explaining that the postal office somehow ‘disabled’ the address. Was the building demolished? We’re not even sure how can an address be disabled?
The player was then provided with a new address. This is nothing but a vicious system that customer service of 1xBet invented with the aim to make users get tired and give up. Needless to say, this user never received his winnings; the case lasted from March 2017 to August 2018. It was never resolved.
In general, relying on customer service in this casino is pointless. Most of the time it is unavailable, and there is no live chat option either. You can get in touch with them via e-mail, Telegram, or order a call back (that you’ll probably never receive).
Deposit and Withdrawal
Variety of languages and currencies is not the only thing 1xBet offers; there is plenty of deposit and withdrawal methods to choose from as well. For depositing purposes, the casino accepts almost all cards (Master, Visa, and Maestro), as well as Neteller and a couple of other e-wallets. The biggest issue here is that the international players are not familiar with most of the options. Some of them are Russian banks, such as Sberbank, or e-wallets, such as Yandex.
As for the withdrawal, you have less options but still enough. You can withdraw via Mastercard, Wire Bank transfer, Neteller, Visa, and a couple of other methods. We love the fact 1xBet provided its players with such a vast selection; it’s what capitalism is all about after all. Unfortunately, no matter what method you choose, you probably won’t get your money.
According to some websites, the casino is licensed by Curacao; although, we’re not quite sure as we couldn’t find this information on the web page.
Pros and Cons
For a casino this rogue, creating a list of pros and cons never came with such ease.
Pros:
- A good looking website
Cons:
- Pirated software
- Probably unlicensed
- Not paying out
- Operating under a non-existing address
- Deceitful customer service
- Locking players out of their accounts
We believe you won’t need any more reasons as to why this casino is bad for you.
Our Verdict
If 1xBet was any more rogue, it would put all thieves to shame. We strongly advise you to stay away from this casino at all cost. With so many online casinos entirely legal and with excellent reputation, there’s no need for you to waste your time or money by trying this one.
Casino Rating:
- Complaint Resolution – 1/10 stars
- Jurisdiction – 1/10 stars
- Software – 1/10 stars
- Cashout Time – 1/10 stars
1xBet is probably the worst casino we have ever reviewed. We rate it one out of ten stars. Not only did the managers steal money from players, but they also put users’ confidential and personal information at jeopardy. If all the copies of ID cards and passports never arrived at a particular address, nobody knows who owns all of this information now. Make sure to read online reviews before you start to bet so you never fall into a trap casinos like 1xBet set up for you. Good luck!
