Grand Luxe VIP Casino Review: Known Scammers Refusing to Pay Their Players
To new and inexperienced players, Grand Luxe VIP Casino might have seemed like an excellent online casino at first glance. They offered an extensive library of games from multiple major software providers, as well as “generous” bonuses.
However, as soon as you tried to cash out, you would find out that this pathetic excuse for a casino was an obvious scam. They had outrageous Terms and Conditions with insane withdrawal limits and were infamous for slow and non-payments.
The casino held a Master license granted by the government of Curaçao. Since 02/2016, Grand Luxe Vip casino has been closed.
General Information
The Grand Luxe VIP Casino was an outright scam ran by the Morriyen N.V. group out of Costa Rica. At the time, this nest of vipers also ran Rome Casino, Diamond VIP, and Mona Casino. This is enough to give you an idea of the type of experience that awaited players at Grand Luxe.
In case you’re unfamiliar with these would-be casinos, they all had a reputation for delaying the approval of withdrawals and not going through with their payments. Additionally, the Rome Casino was involved in a scandal regarding missing wild symbols in their games. Although they blamed it on a software bug and refunded players’ deposits, the vast majority of the online gambling community is of the opinion that Rome intentionally cheated their players.
The Grand Luxe VIP Casino didn’t “fall far from the tree.” Similarly to their accomplices, Grand Luxe casino relied on ridiculous Terms and Conditions and lack of regulation to rip their players off. Although not quite as aggressive as Rome, the end result was the same — if you deposited at this casino, you could kiss your money goodbye.
First Impression
On the surface, Grand Luxe VIP appeared to be a luxury, professional casino. The website’s design was very well done. On top of that, they incorporated words like “majestic” and “luxurious” into the site’s copy to make players feel special; like they’re part of the elite.
However, as we all know, looks can be deceiving — especially in the world of online gambling. As soon as we scratched the surface and dug a bit deeper, we were shocked by what this casino tried to pull off.
The Terms and Conditions on their website were outrageous. First, the limit on a single withdrawal was $1,500, which was pretty bad by itself. On top of that, you were allowed to issue another request only after the previous request had been approved and you’ve received the payment.
Furthermore, these limitations applied to progressive jackpots as well. Put simply; you would have to wait roughly 60 years to get something like a $2 Million progressive jackpot paid in full.
Mind you, you’d also have to diligently request the withdrawals twice a month. And in case you forgot and didn’t log into the casino for three months, they reserved the right to completely wipe your account balance. Seizure clauses aren’t exactly uncommon in the industry, but they usually give players an 18-month time frame.
Insanely Long Withdrawal Times
Absurd terms, wouldn’t you agree? But it’s not just the lucky progressive jackpot winners that would suffer from Grand Luxe casino’s borderline insane terms. Everyone had to go through their excruciatingly long withdrawal process, regardless of the amount.
Grand Luxe claimed it takes 15–18 business days for a withdrawal request to be processed. And that’s on top of their “authorization process,” which could take however long the casino pleases. In reality, you could only get a single payment per month from the casino. And that’s if everything went smoothly and Grand Luxe didn’t try to cheat their way out of paying you.
Thankfully, this parody of a casino was closed in 2016 and won’t scam anyone else ever again. Still, it can serve as an example of what type of an online casino you should avoid. We strongly recommend players to check out a casino’s Terms and Conditions and try to learn as much as they can about it before depositing and playing their games.
The Classic Generous Bonuses Bait
The Grand Luxe VIP Casino flaunted their welcome bonus on the homepage. The offer was quite generous: 400% up to $400 over your first 4 deposits. In hindsight, this was a cleverly designed bait to get people to deposit with the casino multiple times.
Aside from the deposit bonuses, they offered several other promotions as well, including free spins. Of course, all of their bonuses were sticky — deducted from your balance upon cashout — and the casino’s terms limited the maximum withdrawal amount. Players who deposited less than $250 could only ever withdraw 10x the deposited amount.
Additionally, the casino offered daily bonuses ranging from 200% to 350%. Although seemingly a bunch of amazing deals, if you claimed these “gifts” regularly, you would be in a world of trouble. You would have to meet the wagering requirements each time, and since you were playing with bonuses, your maximum withdrawals would be limited. The result — new players who claimed the bonuses had a hard time withdrawing a single penny from the casino.
The casino also hosted weekly VIP tournaments, with prizes up to $15,000. The tournaments were, undoubtedly, an incentive for high rollers to play at Grand Luxe casino. With a $1,500 withdrawal limit, you can imagine how big of a hustle it would’ve been to actually claim the tournament winnings.
Games and Software
The Grand Luxe casino was powered by Pragmatic Play, Parlay, Rival, Betsoft, NetEnt, and other reputable software providers. This meant the casino boasted an extensive library of premium quality casino games and was on par with some of the best casinos out there.
Undoubtedly, this was the casino’s selling point. They tried to cater to every type of player and provide a plethora of games for their players to choose from.
However, what’s interesting is that the Grand Luxe VIP casino had no instant play option. You had to download their client if you wanted to play at this casino. A number of players pointed this out in their reviews of the casino online, but Grand Luxe never provided an explanation or showed any intent to implement instant play.
From a pure software and games standpoint, the Grand Luxe VIP Casino lived up to its name. They offered hundreds of fair, exciting, visually spectacular games. And if they actually paid their players, this casino could’ve had a bright future.
User Experience
On top of ridiculous T&Cs and painfully long withdrawal process, there are tons of complaints online from people who have had their money stolen by Grand Luxe.
The withdrawal attempts at Grand Luxe were a never-ending cycle of false promises by their customer support team. They would make up all types of different excuses for why your request hasn’t been approved and would often delay the payment indefinitely.
Every time you contacted them, they would give you a different time frame. One day, they’d tell you it takes 10–15 days. After that period passed, they would ask you to wait another 3–5 days, then another 7–10 days, and so on… Of course, they never offered any explanation for the delays.
On occasion, they would even promise that the payments would go through the next day, but they never did. There are multiple reports online from players who never received their payments, got banned from chat, and were locked out of their accounts.
It’s funny how Grand Lux’s customer service was warm, welcoming, and professional at first, while players needed help with offers and promotions. However, as soon as you’d hit the cashout button, you would see a 180° attitude change.
It doesn’t take a genius to put 2 and 2 together and figure out that Grand Luxe was rogue to the bone. They’d welcome players with open arms and put up a facade of a reputable casino, in an effort to make you deposit. As soon as you did, they would cut off any communication, play dumb, and refuse to pay you.

Our Verdict
What’s left to say about the Grand Luxe VIP Casino that hasn’t already been said?
This online casino was an obvious fraud that pocketed players’ winnings without any remorse. They were hypocrites masquerading as a luxurious, reputable casino while blatantly refusing to pay out winnings.
All things considered, we’re glad that this rogue casino is no longer active. We certainly wouldn’t recommend players to play at a casino with such ridiculous terms and a long history of non-payments.
