In case you ever wondered whether there’s an online casino that blatantly steals from its players, this is the one. El Dorado Palace was established in 2009, and it didn’t take much for players to realize just how unregulated and rogue this casino was. Almost everything about this casino was screaming red light. The games were produced by Connective Games, a Russian software developing company which, back in those days, wasn’t that familiar to many gamblers. Moreover, the license this casino had was questionable at best, and its terms and conditions could best be described as sketchy.
First Impression
As soon as the homepage loads, you’re instantly let down. The website looks too simple and doesn’t leave the impression of an online casino at all. It has very few games, and the interface is extremely simple. If you combine the overall look of El Dorado Palace with its horrible reputation of scamming and stealing, it comes as no surprise it found itself on the list of blacklisted casinos so soon. The website is available only in English and Russian, with a very bad image of Mayan pyramids covered in gold and glitter as a cover. You’ll be able to see failed attempts at convincing you it is a legitimate casino all over the website. Also, almost none of the casino information is available to you unless you register, so if you wanted to just check the website, you can forget about it. If you’re looking for a trustworthy online casino, believe us, this is not the one, and you should not trust it with your money.
The good news about all this is that the casino has been officially closed for a while now. And you won’t find it on lists of recommended casinos anywhere. However, the website still exists as a testimony to everyone how a casino you should never trust looks like.
Games and Software
All of the games at El Dorado Palace were produced by Connective Games. Considering this was the only manufacturer that El Dorado bought the games from, the website had a very poor selection and was quite obscure. Online gambling was quite boring at this casino — it had around 15 slot machines, 4 video poker games, 4 table games, and a couple of lottery games.
Altogether, the casino didn’t have more than 30 games, and that alone should be enough for you never to want to visit it again. It had no deposit bonuses, or any bonuses for that matter, so there was nothing to attract new players and keep old ones aboard. It was our impression that casino gaming kept improving ever since the early 2000s. However, El Dorado proved us wrong.
User Experience
Here is the absolute worst thing about this casino — it never let the players withdraw their money. The main issue with El Dorado Palace was that it got its license from Panama where the servers were located too. However, the domain was registered in the Philippines. As a result, the players don’t feel very confident about this casino. After all, this is a red flag for most seasoned online gamblers. Also, it was a regular business practice for El Dorado to change the terms and conditions on a daily basis so players could never withdraw any money.
There’s even a case of a player who earned quite some cash gambling at this casino, and once he tried to withdraw his money, the casino informed him he had violated their rules. So once he tried to get in touch with the customer service and find out which rule he broke, they weren’t really sure either. Nothing could be found in terms and conditions, until two days later, where it was stated that a player could not keep playing while his withdrawal request was being processed.
The casino literally made up a new rule in order to never return money to this user, and possibly many others. Seeking help from customer support was completely hopeless, as they were unresponsive, and we’re not quite sure if live chat option even existed. Some users claim it did, however, nobody ever replied to any inquiries. Unfortunately, the user we’ve mentioned probably never withdrew his money or deposit.
Pros and Cons
Or should we simply call it just cons in this case? If we put our entire research on this casino together, there were absolutely no pros. Nothing it had to offer was good, fair, or interesting.
Here’s a list of cons:
- Has practically a worthless license
- Very few games
- Horrible terms and conditions
- Awful customer service
- No chance of withdrawal
Our Verdict
Most definitely a rogue casino, if not one of the worst cases we have yet seen. If El Dorado Palace was still operating, we would have advised you to stay as far away from it as possible at all costs. It was completely fraudulent, it offered very few games, and probably wasn’t even licensed in the first place. The terms and conditions were unclear and false, customer service most likely didn’t even exist, and the website made sure to hide all of this information from its users.
Casino Rating
El Dorado Casino may not exist anymore, but that won’t stop us from rating it as absolutely the worst we have yet seen.
- Complaint Resolution — 1/10 stars
- Jurisdiction — 1/10 stars
- Software — 1/10 stars
- Cashout Time — 1/10 stars
Our final grade for this casino is 1 out of 10 stars. Everything about it was suspicious, and rightfully so. It stole people’s money and broke all of the rules a normal casino should abide by. So make sure to always read reviews of online casinos. El Dorado may be closed, but there’s plenty of others incorporating the exact same practices. These casinos are always trying to find new ways to trick players into trusting them. So before you start betting online, put on your detective hats and find out what’s the best casino for you. Good luck!
