Caesar Crown: Shut down After MGA Put Them on the List of Unauthorized URLs
Caesar Crown is another rogue casino that tried to rip players off by displaying a fake gambling license. However, the Malta Gaming Authority promptly reacted by adding them to their list of unauthorized URLs.
The casino tried to pull off the same stunt again. The second time around, they pretended to have been licensed by the government of Gibraltar. However, this too was short lived. Soon after, Caesar Crown experienced a rapid decline of their player base, and the casino shut down shortly after.
General Information
Caesar Crown was an online casino which claimed to have been operating under the license granted by the MGA (Malta Gaming Authority). However, the Maltese regulator was quick to pick up on this false claim and promptly added Caesar Crown to their list of unauthorized URLs in February of 2017. They also posted the following on their website:
“The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) hereby declares that it has nothing to do with caesarcrown.com. Any reference to the MGA and/or gaming licenses/permits that are allegedly issued by the Maltese regulator, as indicated by caesarcrown.com, is false and misleading.”
Soon after the MGA’s official statement, Caesar Crown online casino removed all mention of the MGA from their website. That alone should have been a red flag for any players even remotely considering gambling at this casino.
However, the controversy with Caesar Crown didn’t end there. Since the vast majority of players would avoid casinos without a license, Caesar Crown Casino pulled an even more idiotic move and tried referring to the HM Government of Gibraltar as their license provider. Unsurprisingly, Caesar Crown didn’t make an appearance on Gibraltar’s list of licensed operators either.
After two failed attempts, the individuals behind Caesar Crown cowered in shame and decided to shut down the website for good. Thankfully, they’ll no longer be able to scam players for their money, at least in the online gambling industry.
First Impressions
As mentioned, their website no longer exists. Instead, all you see is an automated sponsored listing with the option to purchase the domain. It’s no surprise that the domain remains available to this day. Who would want to be even remotely associated with these charlatans?
Everything we know about Caesar Crown Casino indicates that this was just a one-shot clip joint. It appears the sole purpose of this casino was to scam as many people as quickly as possible and leave the online gambling industry without a trace.
They ran the standard “rogue package” — sticky bonuses players could never withdraw, dodgy terms and conditions to justify wiping accounts, and unresponsive customer support. As we’ve mentioned, they attempted to disguise themselves as a legitimate online casino by displaying fake licenses on two separate accounts. This leads us to believe they were initially planning to continuously swindle their players, but their plans were quickly foiled by the MGA.
Caesar? Caesars? Caesar’s?
As you would imagine, Caesar Crown Casino isn’t the only online casino built around the Roman theme. In fact, there are plenty of other casinos out there with similar looks and nearly identical names.
However, don’t mistake the out-of-commission Caesar Crown with Caesars Casino. They are two completely different and unrelated entities. The only similarity between the two is that they were both wrestling with grammar, as you can see from the two casino names.
Caesar Crown apparently didn’t want to deal with proper pronunciation at all. Instead, they chose the easy way out and simply dropped the S altogether. Although certainly not something that would immediately turn you away from a casino, we can’t help but doubt the professionalism of a casino that can’t properly spell its own name.
Games and Software
From the looks of it, Caesar Crown used NetEnt software and had a large selection of games. Net Entertainment is one of the best casino software providers out there, so this must’ve been the casino’s attempt to attract tons of new, unsuspecting players. The games this provider offers are impressive in every regard — from superb graphics and animation to unique themes and fantastic audio that create a truly immersive gaming atmosphere.
However, whether the games Caesar Crown offered were genuine or as fake as their license remains unclear. Given the casino’s history of rogue and unethical behavior, it wouldn’t surprise us if the majority of the games they offered were pirated. That would allow them to skew the odds in their favor and make it more difficult for players to win.
Regardless, even if these were indeed games by NetEnt, players likely wouldn’t have had a pleasant experience playing at Caesar Crown Casino. We highly doubt anyone received their winnings from these con artists.
User Experiences
There’s no mention of player complaints online. In fact, you’ll find it rather difficult to acquire any information on Caesar Crown at all. Even if you were to dig through the deepest corners of the web, we can’t imagine you’d run into anything other than raving reviews by people who had their money stolen by Caesar Crown.
And frankly, it’s probably for the best that this casino stays forgotten. Hopefully, we won’t have to hear another thing about these shady punks again. Let’s pray that they stay out of the online gaming industry for good.

Our Verdict
Not much to say about Caesar Crown other than we’re glad they no longer operate online. An illegal purpose motivated their whole existence, which is evident from their failed attempts at displaying a fake gambling license.
The lack of license is always a sign that the casino is up to no good. If you play at an unlicensed casino, you won’t have anyone to turn to when they refuse to pay you and never respond to your complaints.
Casinos licensed by reputable regulatory bodies are a much better choice. If nothing else, at least you’re able to voice your complaints with the regulator. Some are willing to get involved and help in resolving any issues you might be experiencing.
However, if Caesar Crown’s example taught us anything, it’s that rogue casinos won’t hesitate to display a fake license. So try to get as much information about a casino before depositing and playing in it. Sure, it’s a bit of extra work, but still, it will definitely save you a lot of trouble (and money) in the long run.
